Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and the Mass will be of Requiem for those who have died in war and will end, weather permitting, at the Calvary War Memorial in the churchyard.

Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints: where sorrow and pain are no more; neither sighing, but life everlasting.

You only are immortal, our Creator and Maker; and we are mortal, formed of the earth, and unto the earth shall we return: for so you ordained when you created us, saying: ‘Dust you are, and unto dust you shall return.’

We all go down to the dust; and weeping over the grave we make our song: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.

Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints: where sorrow and pain are no more; neither sighing, but life everlasting.
